Khoemacau Copper-Silver Mine Project

Project Description: This project is led and operated by MMG (Minmetals Resources), located in the Kalahari copper belt in the northwest of Botswana. It is the tenth-largest copper mine in Africa and a landmark resource project for the China-Botswana cooperation. The mining area covers over 4,000 square kilometers. This expansion project adopts underground mining and flotation processes, with significant cost advantages. It can support MMG's global layout, the economic diversification of Botswana, and the global energy transition.

Project Significance

International Relations: Deepen cooperation between China and Bolivia, expand the channels for importing copper from China, enhance the resource guarantee capabilities, promote the "going global" of mining technology management, and provide a model for Chinese enterprises' overseas layout.

Enterprise Value: As the supplier of Hitachi Energy Transformers for this project, it not only deepened the cooperation bond with Hitachi Energy, but also, through the Comacao Copper and Silver Mine, a landmark project of China-Bolivia cooperation, expanded the high-end supporting market for African mining, accumulated supply experience for large-scale mining projects overseas, enhanced the company's exposure and industry recognition in the international power supply support field, and laid the foundation for the subsequent expansion of similar overseas projects.
